Thank you, Creating Ground!

Protein and Creating Ground have teamed up for an inspiring Autumn performance project.

Over nine weekly sessions, members of Creating Ground have worked with Protein’s dance artist, Rachele Rapisardi, and Artistic Director, Luca Silvestrini, to create a short performance around cultural identity and stories of migration. This new project is a development of the work created and performed during Refugee Week earlier this year.

Supported by University of Greenwich and Home-Start Greenwich, the project ended with a moving and joyful work in progress sharing at Brokhill Children’s Centre in Woolwich. We look forward to continuing this enriching collaboration in the new year.

Creating Ground CIC is a not-for-profit organisation that works with women from migrant backgrounds to promote cross-cultural awareness, learning and sharing across different communities in South-East London (mainly in Greenwich) through collaborative arts and educational projects. Through the use of art and drama, people share their experiences, express their feelings and overcome difficulties through reflection and learning.
