We are thrilled to announce that Protein’s The Little Prince has won Best Family Event at the Fantastic for Families Awards.

This award recognises the very best family events of 2019 with genuine appeal and suitability for different age groups attending or participating together.

At a time when Covid-19 has imposed significant limitations on the arts and cultural sector, the Fantastic for Families Awards celebrate the wealth of outstanding creative events and spaces for families across the UK.

The Little Prince is brought to life using Protein’s award winning mix of dance, humour and spoken word. With an original score by Frank Moon, design by Yann Seabra, video design by Daniel Denton and lighting by Jackie Shemesh, the family show invites us to look at the world through one’s heart and to reconnect with our inner child.

The Little Prince was co-commissioned by The Place and DanceEast and supported by The Point, Eastleigh, Warwick Arts Centre and Dance City.

The other winners in the same categories are The Southbank Centre, Circus250 and the Whitechapel Gallery.

Award winners were announced on Wednesday 9 September 2020.
