Protein 21

Protein 21 marks the company’s 21st birthday in 2020 with a three-part thematic programme: Remix, Reflect and Reimagine.

The Protein 21 Remix Series brings back historical works onto a digital stage to help us take some distance with the present and provide a social and individual perspective on society, interpersonal connections and the everyday.

The Remix Series launched on 7 May 2020 with the broadcast of our smash-hit commentary on multicultural Britain Border Tales with The Place Online.

LOL (Lots of Love) followed on 25 June 2020 with DanceEast and The Place Online.

Border Tales returns by popular demand from 9 July 2020 at 7pm, in partnership with Lakeside Arts and The Place.

Stay tuned for future broadcasts.

Reflect zones in on people who have been associated with the company since the start. In the filmed interviews, they will recall how Protein has impacted their lives and how the company has been shaped by those involved.
