Exeter Dance International Film Festival: This is Us
We are thrilled to share Protein’s dance film, This is Us, has been selected for Exeter Dance International Film Festival.
The film, created with and performed by students from New Directions PRU and Protein dance artists in 2021, continues to be shared with audiences world wide. Part of our Real Life, Real Dance participation programme and created over a three-week intensive creation period for young people attending an alternative provision school, the film is influenced by Protein’s Border Tales, exploring themes of multiculturalism and identity.
The film will now be shown at Exeter Dance International Film Festival which takes place from 14th October till 22nd October 2023. Online screenings will be available throughout the festival and a live screening will take place on 14th October.
This is Us has also received an Honourable Mention at the Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival (2021) and Greenwich Film Festival (2023).
