But I Am triumphs in Cyprus!

But I Am wins Best Foreign Music at Cyprus Dance Film Festival!

We are delighted to announce that Protein’s short film, But I Am, has been awarded Best Foreign Music at Cyprus Dance Film Festival, part of Cult Experiences 2025. Composed by Andy Pink, the original score of the film was Runner Up for Best Original Score at Richmond International Screenwriting and Film Festival in 2024.

Made with and for young people from King’s Park and Newhaven School, But I Am is the result of a three week intensive project held at Woolwich Works in November 2023. Shot both inside the building and around the Royal Arsenal Riverside site, the film was made in collaboration with filmmaker Alice Underwood, composer Andy Pink and dance artists Temitope-Ajose Cutting and Emily Thompson-Smith.

But I Am has already being screened at international dance and film festivals in Australia, USA, China and the UK.
