We are looking for dancers to join Protein’s exciting new dance-theatre and music production for children and their grown-ups, co-commissioned by DanceEast and The Place.

Who We’re Looking For
For this new family show, we welcome charismatic, playful and highly skilled dancers of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. We are looking for performers who:
Are technically strong, versatile dancers
Enjoy and are familiar with improvisation, co-devising and character work
Are experienced with spoken word, singing and storytelling
Experience with puppetry is a plus but not required
We encourage applications from people with varied experiences, those who encounter intersectional barriers and are underrepresented in dance. We welcome applications from those who identify as D/deaf, disabled, neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+ and from the global majority.
Project Details
Dancers must be available for the following dates:
Research & Development: 16 – 27 June 2025
Photoshoot: 30 June 2025
Rehearsals & Creation: 8 September – 15 November 2025
Performances: 25 November – 24 December 2025
Fee is £680 per week plus holiday pay in lieu and Equity pension contribution. Protein is an ITC/Equity Ethical Manager, ensuring fair pay and working conditions.
